Grater Bowl

Caesar Salad

Ingredients

Cooked Chicken (optional)

1 Romaine lettuce heart

Croutons

Dressing

2 Anchovy fillets

1 Clove of garlic

2 tbsp light mayonnaise

1tp lemon Juice

15g Parmesan cheese grated/shaved

1 tbsp Water

Method

  1. Pour a little water into the bowl and pour out, this will leave a residue of moisture in the grater. Snip off the top of the garlic no need to peel, rub the clove on the serrated part of the bowl until it leaves a paste, throw the skin away.
  2. Mash the anchovies on the side of the bowl and add to the garlic paste.
  3. Add the Mayonnaise, lemon juice, Parmesan and water. Whisk together.
  4. Add the lettuce, Cooked Chicken (optional), salt and pepper.
  5. Toss all in the dressing.
  6. Scatter Croutons and Parmesan shavings on top.

Due to all ceramics being handmade measurements are approximate.

Most pieces are made of Stoneware and glaze fired to high temperatures, so should be water tight and can be used in the dishwasher from time to time. Continued dishwasher cleaning, with chemicals, high pressure water and temperatures can start to weaken the pieces and they will start to deteriorate over time. Please avoid placing cold pieces on a hot surface or in a hot oven in case of thermal shock and cracking, occasional use in the microwave is acceptable. All finishes and glazes are food safe to the best of Claire Murray Ceramics knowledge.
